- Aug 14 — 1.0.12-rc.4 & rc.5. Official patches: the Family Dude achievement is fixed and now counts progress from the Sci-Fi and Undead families; the Killipede's lightning throw now uses a separate cooldown per Dude; the rc.2 fixes for Spray n' Pray and the Warlock's Unholy Grail were re-confirmed; plus fixes for the Explorer's Canteen Sip and a crash that could occur when healing exploding zombies. No Dude stats changed.
- Aug 8 — 1.0.12-rc.2. Official patch: Spray n' Pray's Orbital Strike cooldown and the Warlock's Unholy Grail damage transfer are fixed — both Relics now behave as described on our Relics page. Version label follows the bscotch official page; Steam news uses different naming.
- Aug 5 — A free update is coming. The Dev Dudes announced the first major content update: new Dudes, quality-of-life improvements from player feedback, and new ways to visualize your runs — aiming to land within a couple of months.
- Aug 1 — 100k Dudes in 50 hours. How Many Dudes? hit 100,000 sales in its first 50 hours, with a 90%+ positive review score and a 9,636 concurrent-player peak.
- Aug 5 — v1.0.5-rc.12. Save backup hotfix shipped; earlier hotfixes covered the Medical License CPU load, the Best Runs page, and the Fossilizer Relic.

WHAT IS HOW MANY DUDES?
How Many Dudes? is a strategic roguelike autobattler "all about game-breaking synergies and simulated chaos" (official description). You manage an ever-expanding army of Dudes at the Dude Ranch, mixing and matching 42 unique Dude Types across six Dude Families — Undead, Employed, Warrior, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Action — to form ridiculous combos like Zombie Dudes who explode when struck, Ninja Dudes who throw shuriken barrages, and Cowboy Dudes who lasso teammates out of danger.
Each run escalates through enemy waves — from toddlers to wolves to gorillas to gods — with three Tiers of Challenge, Act Bosses that reward Trinkets, and hundreds of Relics that warp the rules of battle.
